Glenk Heller Bock
After some years being contract brewed by Stöckel in Hintergereuth, it appears Glenk has shifted to a closer contract brewer in neighbor Becher-Bräu. This Hellerbock is a fair example of the style with a rich golden hue and balanced richly malty palate.
Fischer (Wieseth) Das Bockbier bottle
Fischer Das Bockbier is a richly malty amber brew with some biscuit and honey in the nose and a lingering bittersweet finish.
Brauhaus Unfinden Hausbier
Brauhaus Unfinden Hausbier is a richly malty treat with some grain and spice in both the nose and palate before a lingering semi-dry finish.
Becher-Bräu Jean Paul
Brewed to commemorate Bayreuth writer Jean Paul, this dark lager most closely resembles a Schwarzbier with its roasty palate and near black appearance.
Maisel’s Bajuwarus Weizenbock bottle
Maisel's Bajuwarus Weizenbock is a fruity rounded example of the style with a gorgeous dark honeycomb hue and rocky yeasty head. The lingering finish is surprisingly dry for 7.5% but it lacks some of the complexity of the very best.
Gampertbräu Bock
Gampert-Bräu Bock is a richly malty Hellerbock with a lingering semi-dry, bittersweet finish. At 7.2%, it's a contemplative sipper.
Brauhaus Unfinden Bock
Brauhaus Unfinden Bock is a richly malty treat with some raisin and prune in both the nose and plate before a lingering semi-dry finish. Dangerous at 7.3%.
Düll Bock
Düll Bock is an unfiltered amber beauty with tons of malt but well-balanced with ample hopping making for a sublimely dry and moreish Bock at 7.7%. One of Franconia's best.
