I see a Maibock and I want to paint it black

What color is a Maibock? Any color. When does it come out? Usually late April into early May. How long does it last? Not long. Head to the Bierquellenwanderweg to hike an amazing beer hiking trail and taste some of the finest dark lagers on the planet. Go very early in May and you'll find two lovely Maibocks too.

Zehendner Maibock is one dangerous Bock at 6.5%. This dry fruity brew has moreish long, dry bittersweet finish.

Göller Kaiser Urweisse is a good example of the style with a fruity palate and lingering finish.

Nothhaft Antonius Starkbier Hell

Nothhaft Antonius Starkbier Hell is a potent Heller Doppelbock at 7.5% with a richly malty palate and lingering semi-dry bittersweet finish.

Keesmann Josephi Bock

Keesmann Josephi Bock is brewery's amped up version of their autumn Bock with a darker hue and a richer maltier palate. There must be a ton of hops as it's not particularly sweet at 8.2%.

Schrüfer Fastenbock is a richly malty brew for Lent with some roast and dried fruit in the palate and a lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter finish. Dangerous at 6.7%.

Seelmann Heimatbier Hell

Brauerei Seelmann was closed for some time and their old pub is still only available for events but they do bottle beer and this Helles is a fine one if you can get your hands on a bottle.
