Rosenauer Hofbräu Helles Engela

Rosenauer Hofbräu is one of the smallest breweries in Franconia. Though a relative newcomer, it has some strong adherents and this unusual Helles is a good reason why. The Engela is rounded but nothing like a Munich Helles so if looking for that, you'll have to go elsewhere.

Raab Pils is a gorgeous golden hoppy beer with a dry semi-bitter finish. This was on tap at the Genussfestival 2024 in Ebern.

Raab Frangn Seidla is an unfiltered Vollbier with a dry fruity palate and a moreishly dry finish. This was on tap at the Genussfestival 2024 in Ebern.

Wiesener Räuberweisse

Wiesener Räuberweisse from Bürgerliches Brauhaus is a great looking Weizen with a rocky head and fruity nose. It’s got a rounded fruity palate with yeast in peeking in from the nose. It’s also got an earthy quality untypical for the style which gives it a moreish quality. It’s a touch stickier than their other beers but not overly so and certainly not for the style. It’s full-flavored and fruity but remains refreshing, something a Weizen should always strive to be.

Wiesener Pompejanus is a cold-hopped Pils from Bürgerliches Brauhaus that is brewed for a hotel restaurant and museum in Aschaffenburg, this is in the Craft Bier vein with floral hops in the nose and a dry fruity palate. The citrusy element lingers into the dry semi-bitter finish.

Wiesener Pils from Bürgerliches Brauhaus is a gorgeous golden textbook German Pils with rocky white head and hoppy nose. Balanced palate is hoppy with the perfect amount of bitterness for the style. The clean finish is moreishly semi-dry and bitter.
