Kesselring Urfränkischer Stephator is a gorgeous cross of a traditional Heller Doppelbock and German Craft Beer. Hopped with Solero, Spalter Select and Perle, it has passion fruit in both the nose and fruity palate. The lingering finish is semi-dry and bittersweet.
Zum Löwenbräu Stark Löwe is a richly malty unfiltered Doppelbock with some caramel and ample hopping. The lingering finish is quite dry for 8.2%.
O-Bräu Winterbock is brewed by Thomas Kaiser at the mother Kaiserhof brewery. It's heading into Doppelbock territory at 7.8%. While not prominent, the alcohol is obvious in both the honey tinged nose and richly malty palate. The O refers to the brewer's cat, Oskar.
