Rittmayer (Willersdorf) Kellerbier
Willersdorf's Rittmayer Kellerbier is a hop forward beer with cascade hops in both the nose and palate. It's nice dry session beer worth seeking out and is brewed by Lieberth in Hallerndorf for the now defunct brewery in Willersdorf.
Rittmayer Landbier hell
Rittmayer Landbier hell is generally a serviceable beer but on this occasion, it was a buttery mess.
Eckerts Kellerbier by Gänstaller
This Kellerbier is brewed for Eckerts by Gänstaller in Schnaid. It's a dry fruity brew with well-integrated grain and a dry semi-bitter finish.
Gänstaller Zwickel Pils
Gänstaller Zwickel Pils is a gorgeously hoppy with grassy notes intermingling with citrus hops before the lingering dry bitter finish.
Fischer (Greuth) Rauchbier
Fischer Rauchbier is now brewed by Rittmayer in Hallerndorf and on my recent sampling it was much better than their Kellerbier with a light smokiness adding a touch of bitterness to the malty brew.
Fischer (Greuth) Kellerbier
Fischer Kellerbier is now brewed by Rittmayer in Hallerndorf and on my recent sampling it was not up to their old standards.
Brauhaus am Kreuzberg Imperial Baltic Porter
Brauhaus am Kreuzbreg Imperial Baltic Porter looks promising with its dark black hue and tan head but in the end, you are left with rum & coke.
Brauhaus am Kreuzberg Zwickelbier
Brauhaus am Kreuzbreg Zwickel, at least on this particular tasting, was possibly spoiled. It was sour with a yeasty nose. Resampled the following year and much better, balanced with cascade hops in nose and palate.
Roppelt Märzen
Roppelt Kellerbier is balanced session beer with a clean, semi-bitter finish.
