Rittmayer Landbier hell

Brewery: Rittmayer
Town: Hallerndorf

Style: Helles
Color: in Krug so no visuals, looks golden
Head: white
Nose: malty, underlying hops
Body: medium
Palate: malty, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, slightly bitter

Served: on tap at the Rittmayer Gartenkeller

Impression:  This was the last stop on the tour and we’d had a bad batch of this beer at the Rittmayer am Kreuzberg just a couple hours earlier. It’s the only beer on tap at the Gartenkeller and we’d walked a bit to get there and had a few more kilometers to walk back to our hotel so a beer was in order. This one was a totally different experience with none of the buttery overtones we’d experienced earlier. It was nicely balanced and while not mind-blowing, an entirely acceptable brew for a Keller. The food might be better up on the hill but the beer seems better down here for sure.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
