Fischer Rauchbier is now brewed by Rittmayer in Hallerndorf and on my recent sampling it was much better than their Kellerbier with a light smokiness adding a touch of bitterness to the malty brew.

Fischer (Greuth) Kellerbier
Fischer Kellerbier is now brewed by Rittmayer in Hallerndorf and on my recent sampling it was not up to their old standards.
Lindenbräu Weizen
Lindenbräu Weizen is a medal winning sourish Weizen with a very dry for the style clean finish.
A tale of two cities, three Pils & an almost missed gem
Marktbreit offers not only a charming old town but also the countryside surrounding it is great for hiking. The Maindreieck hike takes in Ochsenfurt and Gnodstadt, both of which have great breweries. Beer hiking in this area is a must for loves of fine Pils.
On the dime in Theinheim
Theinheim is set in a beautiful rural landscape, had numerous hiking trails and one very find brewpub called Zum Grünen Baum.
All aboard the Hallerndorfer-Keller Express
The Hallerndorfer-Keller Express is a great way to reach Bierkeller Nirvana but hiking in is even better and you can escape with the bus when you're ready.
Brauhaus am Kreuzberg Imperial Baltic Porter
Brauhaus am Kreuzbreg Imperial Baltic Porter looks promising with its dark black hue and tan head but in the end, you are left with rum & coke.
Brauhaus am Kreuzberg Zwickelbier
Brauhaus am Kreuzbreg Zwickel, at least on this particular tasting, was possibly spoiled. It was sour with a yeasty nose. Resampled the following year and much better, balanced with cascade hops in nose and palate.
Rittmayer Hausbier
Rittmayer Hausbier is a balanced beer with a grainy palate and slightly bitter finish.
Rittmayer Kellerbier
Rittmayer Kellerbier is a balanced malty brew with a slight chocolate note.
