Drei Kronen Scheßlitz Rauchbier Bock is a richly malty balanced Bock with light smoke in both the nose and palate. The amber hue amber hue is enticing but the creamy head thins quickly. It drinks a lot lighter than its 7% abv and the underlying hops dry it out enough in the lingering finish, making it a quaffable Bock. It’s not complex but it’s a nice entry level Rauchbier for those less than enamored with things smoky.
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Edel Pils is a balanced hoppy golden brew with strong Hersbrucker hops and a lingering, semi-dry finish, semi-bitter finish.
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Kellerbier is a balanced unfiltered amber brew with underlying Hersbrucker hops and a lingering, semi-dry finish. This one on tap at a touch of butter which I felt overtook the lovely Hersbrucker hops.
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Lagerbier is a balanced golden brew with underlying Hersbrucker hops and a lingering, semi-dry finish.
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Dampfsud is a balanced, malty Dunkel with some chocolate before the lingering, semi-dry finish.
Stern-Bräu Vollbier is a hoppy session beer with a nice fruity quality that dries out in the long bitter finish. As served at the Scheublel Keller in Schlüsselfeld, it's softer which allows the complex flavors to mingle perfectly. A must Kellerbier/Bierkeller experience.
Brauerei Hoh's Bock is a balanced dry fruity beer of 6.8% with a lingering semi-dry moreish finish.
Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Dampfsud is a balanced, malty Dunkel with some chocolate before the lingering, semi-dry finish.
Kanone Dunkel is a nice chocolatey Dunkles with a fairly clean finish.
Meister Zwickel is perhaps an unfiltered version of their popular Vollbier with a fruity/grainy palate and semi-dry finish.
