Head: off white, thinning
Nose: malty, hint of chocolate
Body: medium
Palate: balanced, malty, some chocolate
Finish: lingering, semi-dry

Served: on tap at the Fränkisches Bierfest in Nürnberg

Impression: I only stopped at the festival in 2022 briefly as I was returning from a Fünf Seidla Steig® tour. The tastings were quite rushed so forgive my brevity. It was a nice dryish chocolatey Dunkles with a fair finish. The beer that put this brewery on the map for me is ironically the last of the bottles I picked up when there. On resampling from the bottle, it’s got more chocolate in both the nose as well as palate along with some roast.
