Zirndorfer Kellerbier

Zirndorfer Kellerbier on tap at their Bräuschank is a lovely soft session beer with a nice mix of grains and hops in both the nose and palate. The lingering finish is moreishly dry without too much bitterness.

Ebensfelder Brauhaus Kellerbier

Ebensfelder Brauhaus Kellerbier is a balanced example of the style with light grain in both the nose and palate and underlying hops drying it out in the lingering semi-bitter finish.

Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Kellerbier on tap

Bürgerbräu Hersbruck Kellerbier is a balanced unfiltered amber brew with underlying Hersbrucker hops and a lingering, semi-dry finish. This one on tap at a touch of butter which I felt overtook the lovely Hersbrucker hops.

Pyraser Kellerbier

Pyraser Kellerbier is a great example at 18 IBU of a beer not needing bitterness to attain a moreish dry finish. On tap at Hütt'n, it was a gorgeous beer to behold and even more of a joy to drink.

Rhönbrauerei Dittmar Rhöner Kellerbier

Rhönbrauerei Dittmar lies in the Rhön valley in a small slice of Franconian Thuringia. The brew fantastically dry traditional beers and their Rhöner Kellerbier is no exception.

Ebern Genussfestival 2024: A Beer Enjoyment Odyssey

The Genussfestival 2024 was held in medieval marvel Ebern in the Hassberg County of Lower Franconia. Four regional breweries (Göller/Zeil, Bayer/Theinheim, Raab/Hofheim and Hartled/Maroldsweisach) along with communal breweries from Dörflis and Ebern were on hand. A great time was had by all.

Hönicka Bräu Zoigl on tap

Hönicka Bräu Zoigl is a balanced malty brew with a nice mix of grain and hops before the semi-dry moreish finish. As far as I can see, it's not available in bottles and there might not ba any other place do drink it than at the Kösseinehaus.
