Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Weißbier

Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Weißbier was brewed specifically for their opening Weißwürstfrühstück on the Sunday of their 3rd annual Oktoberfest. They only did 40 liters so you had to arrive early to partake. It was a nice looking Weizen with lots of banana in the nose. It had a balanced fruity palate with a good yeasty quality and just a hint of banana. One of the drier examples. Quite nice.

A Münchener goes to the Oktoberfest….in Köslau

The Köslauer Rennweg Brauer threw their third annual Oktoberfest on the first weekend of the name month in 2023. It featured a Weisswurst Frühstück with their own home-brewed Weißbier along with lots of other homemade goodies of both the beer and food variety. A small entertaining trio walked around providing the perfect music accompaniment. Don't miss it in 2024.

Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Vollbier

Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Vollbier was brewed as a hopeful Bock and sold as a Vollbier due to lower than expected alcohol. This is nonetheless a very nice rich Festbier with a rich malty palate tinged with ample underlying hops. The lingering finish is moreishly dry for the style.

Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Kellerbier

Köslauer Rennweg Brauer Kellerbier has the unmistakable taste of Franconia, like a walk in the countryside in a Krug. It is brewed by the small communal brewery in the village of Köslau in Lower Franconia.
