Martinsbräu Laurenzi Festbier on tap

Brewery: Martinsbräu
Town: Marktheidenfeld

Style: Festbier 5.4
Color: light amber

Head: off-white

Nose: toasted malt,
light grain, hint of spice
Body: medium to full
Palate: balanced, toasted malt, light spice
Finish: lingering, a bit sticky

Served: on tap at Martinsbräu Biergarten

Impression: I was glad to find this on tap at their Biergarten but it’s simpler than I’d remembered compared to the bottle I scored earlier in the year. It has some of the spice in the richly malty palate but none of the subtle bitterness. The lingering finish is stickier than remembered and I think I’d have preferred the Kellerbier if served at a more appropriate temperature.
