Martinsbräu Kellerbier on tap
Brewery: Martinsbräu
Town: Marktheidenfeld
Style: Kellerbier 5.3%
Color: unfiltered golden
Head: white, creamy
Nose: light grain
Body: medium
Palate: malty, light grain, underlying hops
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: on tap at Martinsbräu Biergarten
Impression: A good looking unfiltered golden brew if lighter than most in the style. Pleasant light grain in both the nose and the balanced palate. Lingering finish has a nice light hop to it, making it quite quaffable. I enjoyed the bottled version and it’s similar on tap but served overly warm, I would imagine not on purpose. Barman had a helluva time pouring it but most seem to be drinking their Festbier so maybe it was the first one in ages. Still a nice session beer in a lovely setting.
