Impression: I’m glad I picked up a bottle of this as the one on tap at the brewery tap was tinged with butterscotch. While this is no mind-blowing Weissbier, it’s not bad. It’s lighter in color with a typical banana nose but lacking the butterscotch even in the nose of the tap pour. It’s still relatively bland and the finish is heading towards cloying. I’d steer clear of Weissbiers from Hofmühl despite its being touted as good at them.
