Klosterbrauerei Weissenoher Pils
Brewery: Klosterbrauerei Weissenhohe
Town: Weissenohe
Style: Pils
Color: light golden
Head: white, rocky
Nose: light fine hops, faint grain
Body: light
Palate: balanced, finely hoppy, faint grain
Finish: clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter
Served: from a bottle bought at the brewery
Impression: I liked their Euchlarius Pils on tap and figured I’d give this a try. It’s another classic if typical German Pils with less of a grassy note but still better than most in Franconia which are more in the Helles family. They had both of their Pils in bottles but when you’re on foot, you have to make choices. It would be interesting to drink them side-by-side.
