Klosterbrauerei Classic Export

golden beer in pewter lidded mug with bottle
Klosterbrauerei Classic Export

Brewery: Klosterbrauerei Weissenhohe
Town:
Weissenohe
Style:
Export 5%
Color: light amber

Head:
white, creamy, rocky
Nose:
rich malt, light grain, faint hops
Body:
medium to full
Palate:
balanced, chewy maltiness, light grain, underlying hops
Finish: clean, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought at the brewery

Impression: I’d not seen this before so was happy to find it in their shop. I generally like Exports and though on the dark side for the style, this chewy one is no exception with lots of malt and grain well-balanced by underlying hops. Clean finish is just dry enough.
