Scheidmantel Pils is from the defunct as of 2002 Coburg brewery of the same name. It's now brewed by Kulmbacher. It's certainly a decent example of the style and worth trying if you see it.

The Death of a Brewery in Erlangen: Kitzmann
It's a sad day when a brewery closes down. Erlangen's Kitzmann Brewery is no more. Bought out by Kulmbacher, it is hoped the brewery tap and the Kitzmann line of beers will remain.
