Klosterbräu Mallersdorf Jubiläumsbier

beer in pewter lidded mugh with swingtop bottle
Klosterbräu Mallersdorf Jubiläumsbier

Brewery: Klosterbrauerei
Town:
Mallersdorf
Style:
Festbier 5%
Color:
unfiltered light amber
Head: white, rocky, sudsy
Nose:
malty, hint of honey
Body:
medium
Palate:
balanced, malty, light grain, hint of honey, underlying hops which become more pronounced
Finish: lingering, semi-dry, semi-bitter

Served: from a bottle bought at the brewery

Impression:  Wasn’t happy to find the Maibock wasn’t available in bottles but some consolation to find this celebration beer. Though only 5%, it’s both fuller-bodied and maltier than the Helles with a touch of honey in both the nose and palate. Hops kick in for a semi-dry, semi-bitter finish.
