Impression: Gundel Sommerliebe is the Barthelsmesaurach brewery’s summer seasonal. It’s the only golden one as fitting for the warm weather. It’s unfiltered bright golden hue coupled with the ample chiffon-like rocky head is enticing. Cascade hops in the nose set the stage for a hop forward palate full of Spalter Perle and Select. The lingering finish is semi-dry with a pleasant light bitterness.
