Impression: Gessner Original Festbier on tap has a gorgeous amber hue and ample off-white creamy head. The richly malty palate has a light roasty note and some nice spiciness. It’s more in the Märzen style in my opinion. The lingering finish is bittersweet. A friend picked up a bottle of this for me a few years ago and I’d been looking for it on tap ever since. I was happy to finally find it on tap at this great little pub in the Sonneberg train station.
