Hübner Lagerbier
Brewery: Hübner
Town: Wattendorf
Style: Franconian Lager
Color: deep amber
Head: white, dense
Nose: malty, some grain
Body: medium, low carbonation
Palate: fruity, hoppy, dry
Finish: dry, bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: This is a good looking classic Franconian beer with a very soft palate and low carbonation. It shows that even from a regular tap and in a tall narrow glass, a properly carbonated beer can be served if the person pouring it takes their time. It’s not a Dunkles but more of an amber beer with no chocolate factor and more of Franconian flair. There isn’t much in the nose but the taste is full, dry and fruity with a clean bitter finish.
