Trunk Nothelfer Pils
Brewery: Brauerei Trunk Alte Klosterbrauerei
Town: Vierzehnheiligen
Style: Pils
Color: pale yellow
Head: white, frothy
Nose: slight hops, some grass
Body: medium
Palate: dry, fruity, underlying hops
Finish: clean, dry, slightly bitter
Served: on tap at the brewery
Impression: I’d just had the Export Dunkel for the first time on tap in about a dozen years and would have loved to have another but didn’t know when I’d get back again and was intrigued to try at least one other beer. The Pils was a good choice and a strict adherent to the style, with a nice fry fruitiness and clean finish. It’s certainly a beer you could drink for a session but with the Export, it would be hard for me to choose to do so.
Next beer or back to the beer list.
