Impression: I’d had their beer at the Fränkisches Bierfest in Nürnberg and lined up against so many great beers, it didn’t seem overly special. Order effect and too much of a good thing always plays a factor in perception. I finally made it to the brewery during an extended trip to go to the Walberlafest and even though I’d just come from drinking some fine beer there, this time the beer seemed exceptional. It had a great dry flavor and a moreish finish. This is one beer well worth the walk.
