Impression: This is a great brewpub guesthouse in the Little Switzerland of Franconia. They serve excellent food and have some decent beers so was optimistic about this dark bock when I saw it in the shop. It poured nicely enough but the head didn’t last long. It had a nice rich malty nose and the initial impression was good, some dried fruit and chocolate sneaking in but the finish was a bit uneven and sticky. This isn’t entirely unusual in a 7% bock but in Franconia, the best avoid it with some fair hopping.
