Impression: This isn’t part of the Echte Zoigl group but now that I’ve been to all the “real” Zoiglstuben, I start to look at others when it’s convenient. This one was and I have to say not only was the Zoiglstuben really nice but the Zoigl was better than at least a couple of the Echte ones. It wasn’t as good as some but still. It was well-made with a nice grain element and it was hoppier than many but still quite balanced. It had a clean, dry, bitter finish. I was imagining this to be a one-off stop but I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again, especially if on a Tuesday when most Echte Zoiglstuben are closed.
Care for another Zoigl?
This is a town I had never heard of, but I just looked it up on the map and see that it is not far from Bayreuth and Amberg, so I know the general area.
It’s an easy stop as we take that Autobahn on the way back from Saxony due to there being less traffic. I need to get back to Amberg but just that little bit further and harder to park.
