Impression: Budenschuster Lager is an unfiltered amber rustic example of the style. The rocky off-white head is chiffon-like. There’s spicy hops in the enticing nose. The balanced palate is hop forward and dry. The lingering finish is dry and bitter, but not overly so. This is one of those beers you want to have more often than you will likely be able to do. I spent six days going to new-for-me breweries all over Franconia and this was my favorite beer.
Back to the beer list.

Why do all these beers have such a nice presentation and great heads. Every time I read your blog, Rich, I get thirsty! Cheers
German beer is served in proper. well-designed glassware. There is plenty of room for a large head. Even with a big head, you still get a full .5l pour. The head of a beer is important visually but also in pouring to achieve one, you have less CO2 in the beer. This lack of fizz makes it possible to drink more without getting so gassy. Come on over, we have plenty to quench your thirst!
