Impression: Funky little brewery in Hout Bay, well worth making the effort to go to. I had the Kölsch (Blond Ale) first and it was nice enough but figured they seemed to have a sense of how to make a German-style beer so ordered the Pils. It came out looking like a Weissbier, also on the beer menu. Honey-comb and massive head and shining in the brilliant sun, I figured if it was the wrong beer served, but not mistaking it after even one sip. It was a surprisingly hoppy brew and the unfiltered aspect gave it a certain softness. Its 5% alcohol content was perfect for a warm day, too. I was still finishing up Fisch & Chips and this went as well if not better with it than the Kölsch had.
How about another South African craft beer?
