Impression: Found out about this relatively close (10 minutes by bus) to Bamberg country inn only a year or so ago. Drove by it on a recent trip but didn’t have time to stop. Got some great early morning photos of it so it was on the map of places to visit, for sure. It didn’t disappoint. Sitting in the cute little Biergarten on what felt like the first day of fall even if still August, we were in the mood for a dark brew and this fine Dunkles was a perfect fulfillment of those yearnings. A nice chocolate note started things off but it was the soft long dry taste of Franconia from there on out. You could drink this all day but that day we had the Sandkerwa to hit. Being so close to Bamberg with easy buses, I’m sure we’ll be back.
