Impression: Lahma Bräu Dunkles is an unfiltered chestnut example of the style. Fair hops in the nose foretell a hop forward brew. There’s good malt backbone with some roast notes in the balanced palate. The lingering finish is dry and semi-bitter. This is one excellent dark brew. Though I’d loved the Helles, I never went back to it after trying this.
