Impression: Lahma Bräu Helles is an unfiltered golden example of the style. Fair hops in the nose foretell a hop forward brew. There is a good malt backbone with some grain notes in the balanced palate. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. This was one beer I not only wanted another of but swore I’d have one. I decided to try the Dunkel just in case I liked it more, figuring I could switch back. That didn’t happen.
