Impression: Brauerei Krug Maibock is a richly malty unfiltered amber example of the style. Sporting an off-white rocky head and spicy nose, the rich palate has underlying spicy hops. The lingering bittersweet finish is a tad stickier than I like but certainly not overly so. The brewery had a Bockanstich I was unable to attend so it was great to find it out at Gleis 1 – Alter Bahnhof Frensdorf. Their house beer is Krug Lagerbier, so a good spot to find Krug on tap.
