Impression: This was my final beer at the Woodstock Brewery. I’d opted to try an assortment of their big line-up on a tasting flight and had already sampled the filtered version of this fine IPA. The owner suggested the unfiltered one and said it was his current favorite. It’s amazing how much difference filtering makes. This unfiltered version had the same great balance with firm enough malt to offset the obvious ample hopping but it was much drier and drinkable. It’s quite dangerous at 6.5% but I could definitely drink this as a session beer.
How about another South African craft beer?
