Impression: Loved the Karoo beers when in Kruger so made a special trip to the brewery. I knew most of the beers from our Safari trip but there were a few single hop varietal brews mostly available in bottles and this one brewed with Azacca hops, a type noted for imparting a fruitiness to beers. This one did just that. It was surprisingly light in body and taste, even after the Kudu Lager. That said, it was far tastier and unless someone was totally averse to hops, this would be nice entry level craft beer for friends not yet convinced. It convinced me to buy a bottle of each of the other two beers made with single hops, along with a couple of my more favorite Karoo beers. We only had four more nights in South Africa (with two more breweries to visit) so stocking up was not an option!
How about another South African craft beer?
