Impression: Loved the Karoo beers when in Kruger so made a special trip to the brewery. I knew most of the beers from our Safari trip and The Impala was one of our favorites so it was nice to finally see it on tap. The brewer/owner explained that it was an unfiltered version, making it even more intriguing. It was pretty much as I remembered if perhaps even more balanced. It was also much lighter in color than the bottle I had in Kruger. The brewer talked a bit about tweaking recipes but hopefully not too much as his were perhaps our favorite beers of the South Africa trip.
How about another South African craft beer?
