Luggerts Zoigl
Brewery: Luggerts
Town: Mitterteich (Oberpfalz)
Style: Zoigl
Color: honeycomb amber, unfiltered
Head: white, creamy
Nose: hint of hops
Body: soft, low carbonation
Palate: dry and fruity
Finish: long, dry, bitter
Served: from the tank at the brewery
Impression: This was a truly genuine Zoigl experience, sitting seemingly in someone’s kitchen with a few tables scattered around. We were the first non-locals to arrive but soon after, the tiny place was packed. The beer remains one of my favorite Zoigl. It was so soft and the head quite creamy, with a long dry bitter finish. I hope to return one day and to hopefully stay in Mitterteich so I can have more than just one.
