Teicher Zoigl
Brewery: Teicher
Town: Neuhaus (Oberpfalz)
Style: Zoigl
Color: amber honeycomb, unfiltered
Head: white, fluffy, live
Nose: hint of malt
Body: soft, low carbonation
Palate: dry and fruity
Finish: long, dry, bitter
Served: from the tank at the brewery
Impression: This was the my favorite of the four Zoigl tried on our recent hiking excursion there. After a 14k walk to Neuhaus and a much deserved shower, we headed over to Teicher for our first Zoigl of a warm sunny day. It looked fantastic glistening in the sun. It was dry and fruity right off the bat, a great start and the long, dry, bitter finish made it a very moreish Zoigl.
