Impression: Hopfenhäusla Summer Ale is an unfiltered amber example of the style. The off-white creamy head and citrusy nose are enticing. The balanced hop forward palate features citrus hops which aren’t overpowering. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. I tend to shy away from Craft Beer ales in Germany but this is much better than the Helles and Weizen.
