Impression: Hopfenhäusla Hell is an unfiltered golden example of the style. The creamy off-white head is formidable and lasting. The malty nose has some grainy notes as does the balanced palate. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. It’s fruity as it warms and though not quite as clean as you might like in the style, the finish is nicely dry.
