Impression: Hopfenhäusla Weizen is an effervescent unfiltered amber example of the style. The creamy off-white head is yeasty as is the nose tinged with banana notes. A fruity palate that is malty also features banana. The lingering finish could be drier. Perhaps due to a .3l pour, it’s on the fizzy side. It’s not my style and stickier in the finish than I like, even in a Weizen. It’s certainly refreshing and imagine a nice thirst quencher on a warm day.
