Impression: Maischerei Mayr & Müller Salzkammer Gold is a modern interpretation of a cross between an Austrian and Franconian Märzen. It’s fuller and stronger like one from Franconia. The spicy character is like one from Austria. There’s a nice refreshing fruity component and a full maltiness which balances well with the spicy hops. There’s a slight hint of smoke due to a small percentage of smoked malt used. The lingering finish is quite dry and only semi-bitter.
