Impression: Schlossbrauerei Stelzer Ritter Trunk is a richly malty dark brew, a throwback to older Bavarian styles according to their website. Its nose is largely malty. The balanced richly malty palate features some roasty notes. The lingering finish is semi-dry and bittersweet. This was a brewery I’d had bottled beers from in 2020 but the pub was closed at the time. When investigating recently, it appears their pub is once again one. Needless to say, another place to hopefully visit soon. These notes are sparse due to the number of beers sampled in a short time at the Bavarian Czechia Beer Tasting event held in Rehau.
