Impression: Hohe Wart Bräu Räuber Dunkel is an unfiltered chestnut example of the style. There’s a hint of chocolate in the otherwise malty nose. The balanced palate is malty with light grain and a a touch of chocolate. The lingering finish is bittersweet and just dry enough. I’d say this was my favorite of their beers so I had a second once I found out the Maibock had run out.
