Impression: Budenschuster Maibock is an unfiltered golden strong beer crowned with a creamy white head. The richly malty nose has honey notes and there’s light honey in the rich palate. Underlying hops dry it out nicely. The lingering finish is semi-dry and bittersweet. This was one of the best beers I sampled on this very full day. These notes are sparse due to the number of beers sampled in a short time at the Bavarian Czechia Beer Tasting event held in Rehau. This brewery is on my list of places to visit in 2026.
