Impression: Eschenbacher Helles is a unfiltered golden example of the Munich style. Its nose is malty with light grain. The balanced malty palate is similarly grainy with understated hops. It’s definitely in the Munich direction but better than quite a few. The finish is fairly clean. I’m not generally looking for a Helles in Franconia but if you are, this one’s not bad.
