The English Garden is home to four large good beer gardens and the most northern one is perhaps the most remote and best: the Aumeister. Home to some of the best roast chicken in Munich, they also serve Hofbräu Maibock in spring. Prost.

With perhaps an even longer lineage as Salvator, Hofbräu's Maibock is one majestic brew, full of a fine mix of malt and hops. Its moreish finish will have you reaching for another but beware its deception strength.
