Impression: Hopfen Häusla Bernstein Ale is an unfiltered amber example of this top-fermented style. There’s a mix of hops and grain in the otherwise malty nose.
There is fair hopping to the otherwise balanced, grainy/malty palate. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. This small brewery began in 2015 in Münchberg. They evidently have a pub/Biergarten open Thursday and Friday evenings. These notes are sparse due to the number of beers sampled in a short time at the Bavarian Czechia Beer Tasting event held in Rehau.
