Impression: Kommunbräu Sechsämterland Kirgl Gold is their interpretation of Zoigl. Though not actually a style, with their proximity to the area, it’s more understandable to label it as such. It’s an unfiltered dark golden example of Zoigl. The balanced palate is rounded with grainy notes and underlying hops. The lingering finish is semi-dry and semi-bitter. This small brewery from Selb was founded in 2020 and promotes the history and culture of local brewing traditions. They do not have regular festivals but I will seek one out hopefully soon
