Town: Eltmann (originally but now in Neuhaus Pegnitz)
Style: Helles 4.9%

Served: from a bottle bought in the area.
Impression: Weiss Roessl Brotzeit Helles is a golden brew with an ample head and grainy nose and some grassy notes. The balanced malty palate is similarly grainy with some mown grass and understated hops. It’s slightly in the Munich direction but has something Franconian in its dryness. The lingering finish is just dry enough to invite another.
Weiss Rössl Bräu was bought up by Kaiser Bräu in Neuhaus Pegnitz in 1989. They closed the brewery in 2001 and moved production of the beer to Neuhaus.
