Impression: This is a very small communal brewery in the Hildburghausen county of Thuringia. This is a low carbonation hop forward top fermented beer but a balanced session ale nonetheless with some spicy, peppery notes. There’s a little bit of a pleasant woody quality from the pitch of the barrel in the mix. This is imparted from lagering in pitched barrels. The beer is then put into kegs with a make-shift siphon. The lingering finish was moreishly semi-dry and semi-bitter.
