The Heinl family have hit upon about as perfect a reenactment of home life in their Zoiglstube as it gets. It is also one of the tightest spaces so get there early to secure a seat and then enjoy sitting in their living room. It’s one of the most bustling of the Zoiglstuben in town and it’s easy to see why.

inside & out, Zum Roud’n has a homey feel
I stopped a couple of times. The first time, it was packed and I squeezed onto a large table occupied by a boisterous group. I’d already eaten but was intrigued by their having Dotsch, the dialect name for potato pancakes. They came out and you could see they were very much homemade. They were some of the best I’ve ever had. I quite liked the Zoigl but I have to admit when I returned the next day before leaving town, I was going back for them as much as the Zoigl. That said, the Zoigl was even better the second time in.

Zum Roud’n Zoigl & their very tasty Dotsch
This is definitely a new favorite and look forward to returning. My wife wasn’t there and these Dotsch ensure will go together next time!
